Big Sky Midsummer Day

This image was created in Corel Bryce 5. The valley floor is the default infinite plane and the ‘plateaus’ are terrain objects. The plataues were created by making copies of the same plateau that have been rotated and the nearer copies had more detail added. The original was created by making an eroded mountain and then flattening it. More erosion was then done to make sure the top wasn’t too flat.
The grass is a free polygon model from 3Dplants.com. I found that when I stretched the model lengthwise that the individual grass strands bent as if they were blowing in the wind. I then created several duplicates of the model and scaled them up or down to create variety.
I have usually found that the Bryce clouds (at least in version 5.0) need to have more detail added so that was also done in this scene.
